Jay McKinney
Jay was born in McAllen,
Texas on March 25, 1950.
He lived in too many
places to name them all,
moving often because his
father had many job
assignments between
Texas, Northern
California and Nevada.
He Graduated from the
University of Houston
with a degree in
accounting and became a
CPA in 1974. He worked
for several
international accounting
firms from 1974 until
1981, when he opened his
own CPA firm in Austin
where he still actively
has a tax practice. Jay
also acquired the
Catfish Parlour
Restaurant in South
Austin in 1990.
Jay is married to Carol
McKinney. Jay raised two
sons who both graduated
from the University of
Texas. His older son
played baseball at UT
and his younger son is a
chef and manager of the
restaurant. Jay has one
four year old
granddaughter.
