Steve Hadley

WASHINGTON, DC, June 12,
2006 – The National
Business Aviation
Association (NBAA) today
announced the
appointment of business
aviation veteran Stephen
Hadley as NBAA regional
representative for the
Southwest U.S. region
effective June 19, 2006.
Hadley’s territory
includes Texas, New
Mexico, Colorado,
Louisiana, Alabama,
Arkansas and
Mississippi.

representatives have
long served as an
outside-the-Beltway
voice and resource for
the business aviation
community,” said NBAA
President and CEO Ed
Bolen. “I am confident
that Stephen Hadley will
continue in that
tradition, given his
first-hand understanding
of how our industry
works, and the
opportunities and
challenges it faces. I’m
delighted that Stephen
has been selected to
represent the NBAA in
the Southwestern U.S.” |

Hadley comes to NBAA with a
background rich in business
aviation experience, including
service as:
• Chief pilot of Campbell,
Cherry, Harrison, Davis & Dove,
PC, a law firm in Waco, TX;
• Chief pilot and director of
flight operations for both
Abilene Aero and Lubbock Aero;
• Air medical transport pilot
with Methodist Hospital in
Lubbock, TX;
• Vice president of the Texas
Air Center in Lubbock, TX, and;
• Corporate pilot for Furrs
Supermarkets, Lubbock, TX.
Hadley’s aviation career
includes service in a host of
other positions, ranging from
manager for a fixed base
operator (FBO), and progressing
to chief pilot for a corporate
flight department. He has an
airline transport pilot rating,
and has flight experience with a
broad range of aircraft, from
single piston engine planes, to
turboprop aircraft, and jets.
Hadley also has served as
chairman of the General Aviation
Committee for Lubbock
International Airport, where his
work to promote effective
relations between the general
aviation community and airport
management made the airport a
model and regional focal point
for general aviation services.
Hadley grew up in Missouri and
graduated in 1973 with a
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry
from Drury University in
Springfield, MO. Hadley replaces
Paul H. Smith, who retired on
May 1.
NBAA’s Regional Representative
Program was established to build
working relationships with
business aviation organizations
at the state and local levels,
in order to provide support for
operators of business aircraft
in the public affairs,
legislative and policy arenas.
The regional representatives
work directly with state
legislators, staff for various
state aeronautics agencies,
airport management and other
policymaking entities.
