An established aviation business is
coming to Texas. The Cisco Municipal
Airport (3F2), just west of Fort Worth,
will soon echo with the sounds of
aircraft kit construction. Michael
O'Sullivan, owner of Supermarine
Aircraft, has been making scale
Supermarine Spitfire fighters for the
last 20 years. Founded in Brisbane,
Australia, Supermarine sells Spitfire
kits worldwide. A marketing decision
brings the company to Texas.

At the Cisco airport, the hangar is
going up and the tooling equipment is
being shipped. This all aluminum
follow-on to the famous WWII fighter
from Great Britain is powered by a
liquid cooled General Motors LS2, 364
cu.in. V8 engine, delivering 430 HP!
Mike O'Sullivan /Supermarine have
invested the necessary money over the
last 20 years to make a superb product
that produces the famed handling
qualities of the legacy Spitfire at a
fraction of the cost.
